An American Hero
I never knew 2LT John P. Bobo. I was wearing a T-shirt from the USS John P. Bobo that served during
Desert Strom ferrying equipment in 1991. A young Marine came up to me and said he studied his record in Boot Camp.
He told me the heroic story of 2LT Bobo. I never wear that shirt now. I have it stored and revere
it and the man. I have 25 years of military service, but I have never demostrated an ounce of bravery that
2LT Bobo did. God Bless Him. We will never forget your sacrifice, Semper Fi.

I thank you so much for everything that you did in the war. Your patriotism and courage will always be looking upon by many. I hope someday I will have as much courage as you once had. Thank you and god bless!
