To Always Remember

I was the Chief Clerk for the 4th TFS during the time Captain Rusch was there. I now give tours at the NJ Memorial and Education Center for students. I tell each group about Captain Rusch and what de did for his Country. He will always be remembered.

I am haunted

I wore a P.O.W. bracelet with Stephen Rusch's name on it. I neglected to solder it to my wrist as I was supposed to do...I was only 17 years old and I lost it after a few years. I wish I could talk to someone from Capt. Rusch's family to let them know I think of and pray for him daily. Lynn.

Not Forgotten

I have not forgotten you. I chair the Adoption Committee for The National League of Families of Prisoners of War and Missing in Action in Southeast Asia. We will always remember the 1,889 Americans still unaccounted for in Southeast Asia and the thousands of others that lost their lives. We will not stop our efforts until all of you are home where you belong.

We need to reach the next generation so that they will carry on when our generation is no longer able. To do so, we are attempting to locate photographs of all the missing. If you are reading this remembrance and have a photo and/or memory of this missing American that you would like to share for our project, please contact me at:

Note to my Dad

Dear Dad,
1972 seems so long ago. I am now a Major in the USAF (dentist, not a pilot), married to another Air Force Major, and mother to the most wonderful daughter in the world. Not a day goes by that I don't think of you. I know that's what keeps me in the military. I hope that you are somewhere happy, looking down, and knowing how proud I am of you and all who are willing to give their lives for their country. I love you, Dad.

Love,
Sharon

Another tower falls

It's been too many years since I thought about the man whose bracelet I wore. While in DC earlier this month, I visited "the wall" & remembered. Last week, watching the Trade Center fall, I thought once again of him & the sacrifice he made for all of us. Thank you Captain Rusch & God Bless America.
