Thank you Doc Rudd for your courage and for your devotion to your Marines.

Connie and I grew up together. I always thought Connie and Don were perfect for each other. The last time I saw him was on campus at MSU. He told me he had been drafted. I remember my mother calling me with the sad news. I am watching the Ken Burns series and have cried through the entire thing. I think of him daily. Bless you Connie, my dear friend.

I won't forget you! We had such a short time together, but every minute is still in my heart. I was so blessed to be your wife! I remembered what I promised you and I made the best of my life that I was able- but there has always been a hole where you should be. I will always love you! Connie
