THE WALL OF FACES

Dear PO2C Donald Rudd, Thank you for your service as a Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class with the 4th Marines. Semper Fi. Thank you for the lives you saved. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Halloween is next weekend. Time moves quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

It was early morning March 3rd..shots...explosions and screams for corpsman filled the air...Doc Rudd stopped by our hole to check on me and Lt Jones on his way to 3rd platoon down on the finger....I asked if he needed a radio operator...no was the answer....he said see you later as he moved into the fog...later found that he saved a bunch of marines and shot some NVA....Doc Rudd was a good man in a lot of ways....cared for his men and he really loved his family...talked about them all the time.

My thoughts are with you Doc on this memorial day.....be at peace.. you are not forgotten
