Final Mission of MAJ John C. Rubins
MAJ John C. Rubins was an advisor assigned to Advisory Team 54, Headquarters, MACV Advisors, MACV. On November 14, 1967, MAJ Rubins departed his base camp in Kien Giang Province, RVN, to search for an overdue convoy when the jeep he was traveling was ambushed by a hostile force.
