Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. While all deaths in Vietnam are tragic that you died just four days after your 20th birthday is especially so. May you rest in eternal peace.

Dear Lcpl Ronald Rountree, Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. The 54th anniversary of the start of your tour is soon. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Another Halloween is soon Time moves quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Ronnie and I were friends in school, mostly in the 6th grade at Sherman Oaks El. and the 7th grade at Van Nuys Jr. High. We hung out a lot together then. I am a Canadian and came back here at 17. I did not belong in that war, but I do feel guilt at losing my buddy.....RIP Ronnie
