Thank You

Dear Sgt Robert Roossien, Thank you for your service as an Airborne Qualified Radio Operator. The 53rd anniversary of the start of your tour is in 7 days. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Today is actually the day Columbus had reached the New World. Time moves quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Visit again.

Bob, I'm sure you got a chance to greet Terp when he arrived in heaven. Agent Orange took him thru liver bile duct cancer. VA won't acknowledge it yet. I'm pushin' 70 now. Won't be long. You guys save me a place!

Never forgotten

Bob, I'll never forget your black '61 Chevy or the countless hours drinking coffee at the "Grill."
My medevac was layed over at ScottAFB when I called my folks to tell them I was back on US soil. They them told me that God took you home om May 12. Your mother is with you now but I used to see her every memorial day at your grave. Occasionally your brothers and nephews and nieces. Got reacquainted with Terp and we see his wife and him socially now. He did 14 months in a 155 arty bn. We speak of you often.
Fellow LRRP but Marine, Rick, 1st Recon Bn. Echo Co. 1st Mar Div.
