honoring you....

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. You died at 20 years of age on my 18th birthday. I am now 74 and have lived a long and fulfilling life. It is tragic you never had that same opportunity. May you rest in eternal peace.

Thank You

Dear Sp4 Lester Robbins, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. The 55th anniversary of the start of your tour just passed. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. The 20th anniversary of 9/11 just passed. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Dear Lester.

On this Memorial Day I honor you my dear friend. You were the first funeral that I remember ever attending as a child. I adored you, I didn't understand war at 6 years old. At 57 years old I still don't understand war. I didn't even realize you were only 21 years old. Rest in Peace, Love Regena

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SP4 Lester Wayne Robbins, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
