Uncle

I’m saddened that I never met you or majority of my family. It’s a honor to have you as my uncle and to know the sacrifice you made for this country.
Love always,
Jennifer Rios

DC Visit

Looking for someone to honor for Day of the Dead. Your spirit and name drew my attention. I took a pic of your name and now I search internet and delighted to find a photo. Plan to share info about your sacrifice with my 12th grade religious education class. Rest in peace, will pray for you and please watch over us.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SP4 Arturo Recio Rios, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
