honoring you....
A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

Dear Curtis
I am the sister of Mike Lipsius, who died along with you on that April 19, 1968. On that anniversary, on Memorial Day, on Veterans Day and many other times of the year I think of your name right along with my brothers. It’s funny how people get linked for eternity.
I wanted to let you know that your mission was successful. A year later my late husband Chuck was in AShau building roads.
My heart reaches out to your daughter, Curtis. It will never get easier being the family member of a fallen hero. The pain never goes away, you just get used to it.
To all who post memorials, I want you to know that it helps. God Bless you for taking the time.

Thank You
Dear PFC Curtis Riley, Thank you for your service as an Airborne Qualified Infantryman with the 1st Cavalry. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. The 20th anniversary of 9/11 is soon, and still very sad. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.
