honoring you....

War drew us from our homeland
In the sunlit springtime of our youth.
Those who did not come back alive remain
in perpetual springtime -- forever young --
And a part of them is with us always.

Thank You

Dear PFC James Reynolds, Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

A sweet and cheerful soul.

We dated once and he was so funny and sweet. Classes and exams got in the way and he was off to boot camp. I heard of his valor and the loss a couple of months after he passed and couldn’t believe he was gone. I’ve thought of him frequently over the years and he’s been on my mind more recently.
I remembered his smile most of all. He made a lasting impression on me.

Still

My friend. Have not forgotten our times in Boot camp, staging, and Okinawa before heading to Nam. You, Tara, and Norzagaray are constantly on my mind. All this years since 1968. Love you guys. We will meet again. Made it a career. Capt Art Perez "Mustanger"

Remembering An American Hero

Dear PFC James Stephen Reynolds Jr, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter
