Ground Casualty

SP4 William L. Reger was a Field Communications Electronics Equipment Mechanic serving with the 548th Supply & Service Company, 277th Supply & Service Battalion, 29th General Services Group, Army Support Command Saigon, 1st Logistical Command, U.S. Army, Republic of Vietnam. In 1969, the 29th General Support Group provided broad and varied logistical support to the U.S. Army and other Free World Military Assistance Forces operating in the III Corps Tactical Zone. One of the organizations they supported was the 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile) at their installation at Tay Ninh Base Camp in Tay Ninh Province, RVN. SP4 Reger died at Tay Ninh at 1:00 AM on November 8, 1969, where it was reported he took his own life. He was 24 years old. [Taken from coffeltdatabase.org]
