Thank You
Dear Lcpl William Rees, Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Yesterday was the 57th anniversary of Gulf of Tonkin Incident. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

My friend Bill Rees
Bill Rees was the C.O.'s radioman, and I was the X.O.'s radioman--until he was killed and I got his job. Bill was my closest friend in Vietnam. He planned to get his life on a better track after the Marine Corps but didn't live long enough.
