Remembering An American Hero
Dear SSGT James Charles Reamer, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir
Curt Carter

In Rememberance of My Stepdad SSGT James C Reamer
Jim was both my Stepdad & Friend! Loved & had Fun, being around each other! Sweet & Giving, was always there for me, Treating me as a Daughter & wanted to adopt me! Stuck up for me & Balance of Mother's Personality! CalmedSoftened her edges!
In Army since Teens & probably a Lifer~Staying in til eventually Retired!
Instead of serving in Germany, without us for extended time, decided to do Tour of Vietnam~
He RequestedSent him Favorite Album of Otis Redding's 'Sitting on the Dock of the Bay'~
Wrote letters describing living conditions& stories.
Have none, so Love & Wish could have any Pictures of him {Mother kept them all}
Never expected his men to do what he would not:So was riding on tank, when ran over landmine, exploded by hidden Viet Cong & was also hit in neck, with by Missile, at same time~
Life was & has never been the same without him!
*Peace & Blessings*
*You are Missed & Always Will be Loved*
Your 'Daughter' & Friend, Lynn!
*All Gave Some~Some Gave All*

Do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
Mary Frye – 1932

Not forgotten
James, Although we never met, I just want you to know you are not forgotten. You gave the ultimate sacrifice, your life for what you believed in. Sleep well my friend, and thank you for protecting the freedoms we enjoy today.
