Wearblueruntoremember

Today, for Memorial Day, I ran in Wisconsin in honor of SSGT James Michael Ray for the Wear Blue Run To Remember. My boys joined me in researching this hero that I was assigned. I am humbled and honored to wear blue in his memory. God Bless!

MIA Bracelet

I first heard about James in 1971 while waiting to be shipped overseas. He interested me because we were both born in Providence RI in 1949, although we were Traised in different cities in RI. Soon after that I obtained an MIA bracelet with his name on it. I wore that bracelet up to 1991 at which time it broke. Fortunately I was able to acquire a new one. I was living in Ventura, Ca at the time and the Wall replica was on display at the local town hall. I knew the local Veterans group would be there. I went up to the tent and asked the lady at their stand if they had aMIA bracelet.when I told her what name I wanted she asked me why him so I explained my story. She told me the reason she asked because James was her son. It seems her and her husband had moved from RI to a small town just outside Ventura. I will be 72 on April 23, 2021 and am now living in Davenport,Fl.. I still wear an MIA bracelet that says, "S/Sgt James M Ray POW 18 Mar 68. Least we forget!
