Never Forget!!!

I remember Pat very well. His brother Joe was in the same grade with me. I would always see Pat in the afternoon or night down at John Rains old shop working on his 65 Mustang race car. He was a big kid then and was always talking about high school football. He was always very nice and got along with everyone around in the race group. I was stationed in Berlin in 69 when I got a letter from Mark Downs “Catfish” telling me about Pat. It was a shock since I had no idea he was in the army. Those of us that knew him and had been around him will never forget him!!!

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SGT Patrick Lynn Blair, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
