GOD BLESS AMERICA
Angelo,
Being a Vietnam Vet myself, I was looking for other facts about Nam today and got caught up in memories and searched for your name. As a young boy I used to have an after school routine shopping for our family of 10 for odds and ends that my mother needed. Most of the time my route involved stopping at the Pioneer supermarket on Broadway at the Bronx/Yonkers city line. I went to school with your younger sister Olga so, even though you were @ six years older than I, you were always friendly with me as you worked in the store. Some days, I even had time to jump in the delivery truck with you, Billy Dorsey and a Vet with Airborne tattoos who drove. You and Billy would carry boxes and I would run the floors of apartment buildings dropping Pioneer Sales flyers on floor mats. I felt like part of the older guys team and don’t remember ever thinking about getting paid. Then Billy was killed in 1966 and I remember seeing you and speaking about Billy. Then you were killed not long after.
You, Billy and Jeff Dodge and all Vets killed in action are in my prayers today. Please pray for our beloved country which you all sacrificed your lives for never to see home again. GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND GOD BLESS AMERICA.
