A good kid, scout and Marine.

I met Patrick a year after my enlistment ended in '66, and I became his family's Ins. agent. I remember he was a Scout leader for the local Boy Scout Troop in Newport, KY. He and his brother spent lots of time with the younger scouts, taking them on camping trips and the like. That type of attention was needed and much appreciated, there in the projects in Newport at that time, and Patrick gave it his all. I was, and still am, deeply saddened by his death in Viet Nam. If he was anywhere near as good a Marine as he was a Scout leader, the Corps and Country lost a very fine young man. I visited him, and one other, at the Wall in D.C., and here, numerous times. I wanted others to know this little bit about him. This rememberance is way over do. Rest in Peace.
