Fellow Cacti
Paul had just over 2 weeks left on his tour when he came back off of R & R. Someone saw fit to send him back out to the field in Cambodia. He was killed coming back out when a Chinook became disoriented in the dust and rolled on to the bed of the truck where he was sitting with his squad. Details of the May 13, 1970 helicopter crash can be found on the 35th Inf Association "time line" site. He left many friends who still grieve for him.

CACTI FOREVER
B Company, 2/35th Infantry, 3rd Brigade, 25th Inf Division.
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in England now-a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.
