Silver Star Medal Award

PFC Robert Lawrence Blackwell was awarded the Silver Star Medal for his conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action. He served as an Infantryman and was assigned to D CO, 1ST BN, 20TH INFANTRY, 11TH INFANTRY BDE, AMERICAL DIV.

Happy Birthday.

I didn't know him, but I saw that today would've been his 68th birthday. I'm sure that he was a great man and didn't deserve to die during that terrible war. Semper Fi, sir, and thank you for your service.
