THE WALL OF FACES

Glenn was first cousins with my grandfather, though he was actually closer in age to my mom. My mom remembers him fondly. She was 16 when he died in Vietnam. Yesterday, I took her to the traveling Vietnam Wall replica in Andalusia, Alabama. We took a picture of his name.

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The remembrances from friends and a fellow soldier are touching. As long as you are remembered you will always be with us.

This picture was photographed at the Summerdale Museum from a display on the wall there on 12 July 2017.
After reading of the DAR's attempt to insure that all of those lost in Vietnam would have a picture on the Wall of Faces, I sought out the local men lost.

WATCH OVER THE U.S.A., IT STILL NEEDS YOUR COURAGE.. GOD BLESS YOU. MAY THE ANGELS BE AT YOUR SIDE. REST IN PEACE. MANY OF US HAVE BEGUN OUR JOURNEY TO EASTER. AND YOU ARE ALL IN OUR PRAYERS.
