Perseverance
I was in a series of hard classes with Dennis in high school and graduated with him in 1962. We were ambitious friends and competitors, but he was so more serious and determined that it was a great joy to see his ebullience and happiness when he visited my family and me on what must have been his first Christmas leave from the Academy. When I read his senior page description in the Academy yearbook posted online, I thought, “That’s Dennis: Try hard. Try again. Get there. Keep pushing.” It added to the tragedy of his death but also to his honor.

POW bracelet
I have one of the silver POW bracelets from the 1970's. About 15 years ago( it may have been longer ) I tried to find out info on Mr. Pugh so I could send the bracelet to a family member. I received a very kind letter from a member of the military and was informed that there was not a resource in place to send it too.
I recently came across the bracelet again and hoped I could find out more information about this brave young man.So....goggle lead me to this site. I was sad to find out that he remained MIA. If there is a family member interested in receiving the POW bracelet I will certainly send it to them.
