Pun
I grew up with Spencer in Cary. I don't know where the name 'Pun' came from, but that is what we called him. Great young man, great friend, terrible loss.

Unforgettable Spencer
"Such a sleep they sleep, the men we loved. I think that we shall never more, at any future time, delight our souls with talk of knightly deeds.....as in the days that were."
He held such promise always in all ways.

Thank You
I served in the same Battalion in Vietnam as Spencer Powers. I regret that I did not have the opportunity to know him and serve directly with him. As a representative of our Battalion, I want to thank Spencer Powers for his service, his courage and his sacrifice. Rest in peace, Spencer, you are not forgotten. This is written on behalf of all the men of the 35th Infantry.
