I wore Herndon's bracelet

I too wore Herndon Biven's bracelet and although I never met him, I will also never forget this brave soldier and hero. I continue to pray that his remains are returned to the country for which he gave the ultimate sacrifice.

Not Forgotten

I have not forgotten you. I chair the Adoption Committee for The National League of Families of Prisoners of War and Missing in Action in Southeast Asia. We will always remember the 1,889 Americans still unaccounted for in Southeast Asia and the thousands of others that lost their lives. We will not stop our efforts until all of you are home where you belong.

We need to reach the next generation so that they will carry on when our generation is no longer able. To do so, we are attempting to locate photographs of all the missing. If you are reading this remembrance and have a photo and/or memory of this missing American that you would like to share for our project, please contact me at:

Still remembering

I am still wearing Herndon Bivens bracelet. I was the wife of an active duty USAF when I purchased the bracelet and now we are retired since 1973. My thoughts are still with those who did not come home. Peace to the family. Thanks Herndon for keeping us safe.

Never Stop Remebering

I have been wearing Herndon's bracelet since 1973. My family & I have had the opportunity to visit the wall a number of times. I will always honor those who have given their life for our freedom. God Bless Herndon and all of his comrades.

A friend I never knew

As an Oklahoma 8th grader, I wore Herndon Bivens bracelet. I often wondered what happened to him. I have now visited the wall twice and am very moved when I look at Herndon's name. I accompanied my 8th grade daughter on a trip to DC last month and left a POW/MIA pin I had at panel 11W for Herndon. I pray for his family.
