honoring you....
A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

Thank You
Dear Sgt Newton Plummer, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Memorial Day is in a few days when the nation remembers all our lost. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Remembering you
When I was 7 and a student at the Bement School, your black and white graduation picture stood in the hallway to the High School. I would pass the glass casing over the years and pause at your picture. Your name and face never left me. I would even walk the long hallway, of every graduating class to find you.
Your selfless service and dedication to your troops meant more to you above all else, as a true Leader would.
I would have been proud to serve with you, have a meal with you, tell a joke and definately sit in the fox hole with you.
When casualties of war hit home, you are always in my thoughts.
Troy Shumard SGT(R)

Remembering An American Hero
Dear SGT Newton Ray Plummer, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir
Curt Carter
