1987 VISIT TO THE WALL - JOHN M BISCHOFF

I remember the first time I visited The Wall in June of 1987. I was there to rub the name of a friends brother, Herbert Langenhorst and I was so taken back and moved by this experience that I bought a bracelet. I remember talking with the attendants at the entrance/exit to The Wall and I randomly picked your bracelet! I have worn your bracelet since that day with the exception of removing it for medical reasons a handful of times. I am committed to wearing it until you are finally home! God bless you and the warriors lost with you that day!
God bless!

Rest In Peace SFC Bischoff

I have had this bracelet for more than 35 years. I keep it on my desk at home as a remembrance of the sacrifice you and your team members made that day.

Thank You For Your Valiant Service Soldier.

I found you M.I.A. bracelet in a very large goldfish bowl in the Marine Corps exchange while in Guantanamo Bay Navel Base, along side dozens of others whose names are on the wall. It is something I have cherished since 1990 while on active duty. I looked you up in "Green Berets At War" by Shelby L Stanton when I got home from training. We can never truly repay the great debt we owe our fallen heroes. May those who served never be forgotten. rest in peace SFC. Bischoff, I salute your brave soul. My heart goes out to you and your family. From a Coast Guard vet.
"De Oppresso Liber!"
