You will never be forgotten

Terry's cousin, Barbara, has told me many stories of spending the summer months with Terry in Trumann, AR. She described him as happy go lucky who loved everyone, especially his family. He knew as a child he wanted to join the Army and serve his country. He made his mother, Bera, a Christmas card when he was 8 years old and asked that he get an Army suit for Christmas. He told her how much he loved his family and the world. Terry Wayne Birmingham who was a son, brother, nephew, cousin and hero will never be forgotten for sacrificing his life for our freedom. Thank you Terry.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SGT Terry Wayne Birmingham, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
