Thank You
Dear SSgt Kenneth Pickett, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman with the 1st Cavalry. Your 55th anniversary is in days, sad. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is the 46th anniversary of the last battle of the war, and the Ascension. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

An uncle that I never got the honor of meeting.
On Aug. 02,2013,
On a visit to Washington, DC with my husband, and granddaughter from Ft.Meade MD, we visited the Wall and what a feeling to finally see your name on there. Such an honor, thank you for serving our country. It make me more proud of my husband for being a veteran and our 2 sons currently serving.
I wish I could have met you. As a child growing up, I did hear your name spoken often.
