An Uncle never met, but cherished always

I was never able to meet my uncle as he passed before I was born. His memory lives with my Mom, aunts, and uncles who share stories of his life. These stories passed down through generations keeps him alive in our hearts. Because of his sacrifice and so many before him, we are able to put our children to bed at night and know peace. I’m honored to be called his niece and I will forever love the country he fought and died to protect.

A Great Grandson due in August

His son never got to meet him. His grandchildren never got to meet him. He has a great grandchild coming in August that won’t meet him, but he will be raised to know the sacrifice that he made for our country. Some gave all…. and we are forever grateful.

I remember my Georgia Friend

I met Bill when he was E Co 1/503 Commander. I was in C Company. Somehow on one of our 3 day stand downs we met. Being both from Ga we hit it off. I had a picture somewhere of us eating a watermelon behind his hootch. He was a good man. RIP young Soldier!

Bill Phillips, Rocketeer.

I knew Bill before either of us enlisted. We shared an interest in science and built rockets, sharing lift-offs with our schoolmates. Ooh-ra, Bill.
