Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. You died at 18 years of age. I am 74 and have lived a long and fulfilling life. It is tragic you never had that same opportunity. May you rest in eternal peace.

Your name will be forever engraved in this stone along with 36 other Brothers from Aco 2nd 502nd Vietnam 1966.
I know you were only in the field a couple days.
I remember you playing your Harmonica one night in Dac to.
I guess you know that they landed us in an abandoned Sp Fr mine field .
Us that made it out though that we were being hit with mortars.
Didn't realize that the Bouncing Betties were in the middle of the LZ .
That was a major F..K up no one that we know of ever took the heat on that .
Hope to hear you playing that Harmonica some day.

PFC Dennis L. Phillips served with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry, 101st Airborne Division, US Army Vietnam. He was killed during Operation Beauregard near Kontum (Coffelt Database).

Your sacrifice is not forgotten.
