do not stand at my grave and weep....

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Thank You

Dear Sp4 Steve Perry, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Your 74th birthday just passed, happy birthday. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is spring, and flowers are blooming. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Great man

I remember Steve from when he was still in high school. He dated my sister, Chris for a while. He was such a nice person. I didn't get a chance to know him very well, but he was the kind of guy that you knew immediately that he was a genuine sweet and honest person. I sure wish he was still around. RIP Steve....You are very missed!

My Special Cousin

When I was 14, my cousin Steve Perry went to Vietnam to serve in the US Army. Before leaving, he and his buddy took a bicycle trip across the entire USA, through small towns and state highways. He said that he simply wanted to see the US from a bicycle. Steve was like that. He loved to experience all life had to offer while serving the Lord. Steve made a huge impression on me during the turbulent 60’s, by maintaining his values and through the live and caring he demonstrated to each of his friends and family members. He is remembered as kind and caring, and a true testament to his Christian faith. When our Grandmother went to meet Steve in Heaven, I was gifted with his High School graduation photo, which I’m proudly posting to share with all those who knew Steve. I’ll be forever proud to call him family. Thank you Steve for your selfless sacrifice.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SP4 Steve Joseph Leone Perry, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
