Dear Cap. George Perry, Thank you for your service as an Airborne Qualified Infantry Unit Commander and for graduating from West Point. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is spring, and flowers are blooming. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

The "Friends of Rocky Versace" remember one of Rocky's fellow alumni from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point - a brother Airborne-Ranger - Captain George Everett Perry III, USMA class of 1963, on what would've been his 80th birthday - 25 December 2020.

Captain George E. Perry III was awarded the Army Commendation Medal with Combat Distinguishing Device (V) for heroism in action. He served as an Infantry Unit Commander and was assigned to A Company, 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry, 101st Airborne Div.

George and I went to hell and back during our Ranger training; the morning runs in particular. We were very compatible, He helped me with the swims and I helped with the runs. What a great nine weeks we spent together to become Rangers. Thank you George for being my guiding light in the military. I hope we meet some time in the future.
