Remembering An American Hero

Dear 1LT Gerald F Pelzmann, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

Thinking of You

Cousin Jerry,

How I remember that day that you left and my heart still aches. I think of you often but especially today on Veterans Day,

and how I miss you and want you to know that your cousin, my son is a member of the Marine Corp. I am proud of both of you and wish you could have met him.

To my Uncle

Uncle Jerry was the man I never met. He died right before I was born. My mom Kitty spoke about him all the time, and named me after him.

Cousin Jerry

Jerry was my older first cousin. I always looked forward to seeing him and loved spending time with him. He always made time for his little cousin.
Today my youngest son is lovingly named after him.
