Many Years After You Left Us.
To My Best College-Day Friend ... Forever.
Chris, I will never forget the college days we drove the Model-T around the grounds of Santa Ana College... or ..,The days we did spin-outs in the mud... I MISS YOU BUDDY!
We talked about how to avoid being the Drafted, what we were going to do. You decided to sign up for the Army and I signed up for the Air Force the same day.
What a shock when returning home on R&R after my first tour to Vietnam in 1969 Mr. Sweeney told me you were taken from us!! He sadly described how it had been your last patrol. As he know how close we were partners .. in crime .. twins in effort to. Then he elaborated about the plans you had upon returning home, stopping in Hawaii! I fell into a trance. Since I have often imagined you below on the ground while I flew up above, not knowing we were in Country during the same period!!
I thought of you constantly since, while In Country the second time and after during my tour in Korea.
Buddy, know I still think of you often, and I have lit a candle each and every year since 1969. I am 73 years old now, and today, 2021, I found this webpage. as I glance over my laptop (Computer); ( an electronic typewriter), the main way we communicate today, and I see the flickering of your candle while writing this, I can see from your long flame that you are still with me today. I sit here and feel my PTSD is somehow softened by writing this message to you. I will always remember you, and someday we can do spin-outs together in Heaven! To My Dear Friend.

To Chris
I was next to you this fateful day. You were one hell of a soldier, Chris. You didn't want to leave when you were supposed to. Instead you came back out to the field because we were in trouble. I will never forget you. I will not let you be forgotten.

Thank You
Dear Sgt Christy Peebler, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is the Easter season. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.
