THE WALL OF FACES

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.

Private Howard Stanley Biesantz Jr., Served with the 512th Transportation Company, 54th Transportation Battalion, 8th Transportation Group, United States Army Support Command (Qui Nhon), 1st Logistical Command, United States Army Vietnam.

Pvt. Biesantz was part of a very special group of men in the 523rd Transportation Company, Vietnam. I, too, am trying to put faces to the names; especially in the 523rd, as my fiancé, Mike Hunter, was KIA while on the Ace of Spades guntruck in Vietnam. Mike, along with 11 other brave men of the 523rd gave the ultimate sacrifice for us. Pvt. Biesantz is NOT forgotten, as I place a flower at the Vietnam Moving Wall next to his name and the other brave men of the 523rd. Thank you to ALL veterans, as ALL GAVE SOME, BUT SOME GAVE ALL.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE AS A HEAVY VEHICLE DRIVER. WE JUST SPRUNG AHEAD FOR LIGHTLIGHT SAVINGS TIME. YOU, AND THOSE LIKE YOU ARE THE BRIGHT LIGHT. IT HAS BEEN FAR TOO LONG FOR ALL OF YOU TO HAVE BEEN GONE. WE APPRECIATE ALL YOU HAVE DONE, AND YOUR SACRIFICE. WATCH OVER THE U.S.A., IT STILL NEEDS YOUR COURAGE.. GOD BLESS YOU.
