Never Forgotten

My name is Phoenix Marr and I am a senior at Gridley High School in Gridley, Illinois. My history teacher challenged all of his students to write remembrances for those of the men and women whose lives were taken while fighting for this country. I especially want to show my appreciation toward Maurice, who put forth his life to serve our country. Your strength and bravery is one to be remembered. I did not know you personally, but I know that you were a great man who is truly missed! God Bless!

A great sacrafice

Hello, my name is DrewBunting. I am a senior at Gridley High School. As part of my school assignment, I am writing this remembrance. No greater sacrifice is there than one who is willing to put his life down for another. This is why I am grateful for what you did for these people who were strangers to you.

The Gratitude of A Nation

I am a student of Gridley High School in Gridley, Illinois, and as a social science project, every class is collectively attempting to honor each and every one of the fallen and missing from the conflict in Vietnam. Rest assured, you sacrifice was not in vain, and you are duly appreciated by all Americans everywhere. We owe you our lives, and remembering you is only a drop in the bucket compared to what we all owe to you. Thank you with all my heart.
