Dearest Uncle,
I met you as a small child a few times and your new wife (Sylvia), but have always remembered you! Mostly to your untimely passing and your sacrifice. So I and others may live our lives in freedom. Today I was holding my grandson, his name is Max, after you and your grandfather (my great-grandfather). And his mother asked about you. I really don't have that much information. Only that you sacrificed your life for us all. So I've be researching you on the internet. I found this website. Which I am so happy I did. I hope to come across a photo of you. So I may post it. Caroline Bowman

Remembering An American Hero
Dear 2LT Maxim Charles Parker, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir
Curt Carter

Remember
I was thinking of him today. I was with him just before he got in his aircraft in 1967. He was in the unit a very very short time.
