I remember looking up at your picture at grandma's house and asking her who is that, she had tears in her eyes when she asked me if I remembered you at all. I was sad to say no, but that night you paid me a visit to my room, I can remember looking into your face and seeing the birthmark in your eye so clearly. I ran to grandma's room and told her, she cried, I cried it is a sad but memorable moment in my life. I was 13 y/o at the time. I don't know why you came to me but I know that somehow someway you influenced my life and I proudly served unknowingly in the same field you did in the Army Signal Corp! Shoot, Move, Communicate! I never met you but I think I owe the fact that my father became a soldier and served his country to you. I then followed in my father's footsteps and served my country in the Navy. It is a proud and honorable tradition that you started and I thank you and love you for it. Thank you for your sacrifice for your family and for your country. You will be forever honored. Te quiero mucho Tio!

Words can't express the feeling I have for those who serve and give everything for others. Though we have never met your sacrifice is a life lesson that will always be with me. Thank you for teaching me how to serve!

Cousin I never had the honor of meeting you but I heard many great stories about you and am proud to say we share blood. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SACRIFICE
