Dear PFC Cosmo Pacetta, Thank you for your service as an Airborne Qualified Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Lent has begun, and it is the end of winter. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

I never got to meet you. You are my father, William’s Cousin (my second cousin). My grandmother, Clementine kept a picture of you in her home. Everyone spoke so fondly of you. So much so, I still tell your story some 55 years later. My father and mother were close and very fond of you. Your tragic death devastated the family. I was teaching my 10 year old son about Veterans Day today. I stumbled across this wonderful site and was able to show him your handsome (we look very much a like) picture and read him your story. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten. Always in our hearts and memory.
