Thank You

Dear PFC Timothy Owens, Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Lent has begun, and it is the end of winter. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Always in my heart

Tim and I were classmates and graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1966. We were friends, he was always smiling and he signed my yearbook. I was very sad when I heard of his death in 1968. I now know he is buried at the same cemetery as my grandparents and will visit him when I visit them.

I became aware of PFC Owens when I got his name on a bracelet which I'll have on this Memorial Day. As a member of the Honor Guard of Post 184, Wildwood ,NJ, he will be on my mind as we salute him and all those lost in Vietnam at our replica of the Wall. RIP
