Your San Berdoo buddy

David was my neighborhood buddy in San Bernardino, I also went to Vietnam at the same time David did, and I spent my time up the Mekong Delta River 1966 to 1967. I was a brown water navy (river rat) and listed at 17, you will never be forgotten brother. I just got back from the honor flight from Reno Nevada with 45 veterans and was able to visit the wall and I have your rubbing from the wall. My condolence to your family and thank you for serving our country good buddy. You are truly missed.
Rest in peace soldier your mission is complete.

Thank You

Dear Sgt David Otsen, Thank you for your service as an Indirect Fire Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Lent has begun. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SGT David Bryan Otsen, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
