War drew us from our homeland
In the sunlit springtime of our youth.
Those who did not come back alive remain
in perpetual springtime -- forever young --
And a part of them is with us always.

Dear Lcpl Walter Orley, Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Lent has begun. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

I had the honor of going to grade school and high school with Walt. He was one of the nicest and friendliest human beings that I have ever met. He was a class act. We miss you Walt.

All these years later and I still cry every time I visit places like this. I never got to know you. I wonder what all our lives would've been like had you lived. I miss you every day. I love you.
