Do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
Mary Frye – 1932

If I should die...remembrances for CDR. Stanley Edward OLMSTEAD, USN...who died so we may stay free!
If I should die, and leave you here awhile, be not like others, sore undone, who keep long vigils by the silent dust, and weep...for MY sake, turn again to life, and smile...Nerving thy heart, and trembling hand to do something to comfort other hearts than thine...Complete these dear, unfinished tasks of mine...and I, perchance, may therein comfort you.

You will always be in my prayers...
My father bought me a silver bracelet with your name on it when I was in about the 7th grade. He said you were my soldier and I was to pray for you every night in the hopes that you would return to your family. I remember your name because I diligently prayed for you and last week I visited the memorial and was so very moved to see "my soldier" listed on that wall. May you rest in peace.
