36 years

Time cannot dim the impact Jerry made on my life. It's hard to believe it's been 36 years today since he's gone.Memories come back so easily...the cars, his friends, family trips from California to the mid-west,leaving a suitcase in the kitchen(with snake) for Mom to find....,having that cool room at the auction decorated with old road signs.(That's where I got the bug to collect signs)One time I let him bullwhip a popcicle stick out of my mouth...wow I must have trusted him!Another time he made a bat on a lathe and had to try it out...had me pitch him a pipe elbow...wham it broke off my two front teeth.Mom about passed out.I still couldn't be mad at him(he offered me his model car collection but I declined).Always a quick smile, fun to be around!! Lots of great memories...I only wish we could have growen old together.

Never Forgotten

ALWAYS REMEMBERED

Slip off that pack. Set it down by the crooked trail. Drop your steel pot alongside. Shed those magazine-ladened bandoliers away from your sweat-soaked shirt. Lay that silent weapon down and step out of the heat. Feel the soothing cool breeze right down to your soul....and rest forever in the shade of our love, brother.
