honoring you....

War drew us from our homeland
In the sunlit springtime of our youth.
Those who did not come back alive remain
in perpetual springtime -- forever young --
And a part of them is with us always.

Thank You

Dear Cpl Lester Ness, Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. Your 53rd anniversary is soon, sad. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It’s a New Year, but not necessarily better. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

4 of us from Key West

I, like Robert Ponds were stationed with Lester along with Jim West in key West. We all got Nam orders and met up at. Camp Pendleton. Robert and Lester went to the 3rd Division and West and I to the First Division. West was KIA on January 24,68. I met up withPonds in May of 68 in Da Nang. That is when I learned of Lester’s passing. Such a tragedy. Only 3 days apart and a half a country away
