Rememberance

Michael was killed 2 weeks before his 19th Birthday!

He loved his country and family.

During ceremonies at the local boys club he always insisted that he be allowed to carry the flag.

He volunteered to go on the a patrol in the Bong Son area of Vietnam of which he knew he would not return.

Remembering You Today

Dear Michael,

To honor your memory for your courage and sacrifice, I commend you today and also to extend my condolences to your family, namely, Donn Nemchick, who has become a very good email friend of mine. May God Bless You Always and know you will never be forgotten. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your service and sacrifice. Two very close guys in my life also made the ultimate sacrifice, one year after you in 1967--the 25th and 26th.

God Blessings be on You, Forever

A hometown hero.

Mike loved his country and his family. He was a leader and role model at the local Boys Club. He always asked to carry the American flag during events. He volunteered for a mission that he knew he would not return from. While in country he often helped the chaplans with Catholic Mass. Rest in Peace!
