Dear Cdr Richard Nelson, Thank you for your service as an Unrestricted Line Officer - Pilot on the USS KITTY HAWK. I am glad you were identified in 1984. Welcome Home. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It’s a New Year, but not necessarily better. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Juat learned that we are relatives.

Commander Richard Crawford Nelson, Served with Attack Squadron 75 (VA-75), Carrier Air Wing 11 (CVW-11), USS Kitty Hawk, Task Force 77 (TF-77), 7th Fleet.

I found his MIA bracelet in a box of jewelry 2 years ago and wear it on Memorial Day in honor and memory of his sacrifice for our country.
