Wayne my brother was there the day you were KIA March 5th 1969.

I promised you that day I would locate you son who was born after your death and who never saw you, that I would locate him one day.

Well that did happen back around 2000. Wayne Jr. lives in Florida with his family and your grand children. We never meet but we did talk way back then.

Last year's Ivy Dragoon reunion Wayne attended as an honored guest. I was not able to make it but heard the stories of his attendance.

You are always thought about and never forgotten my brother

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SP4 Wayne Gary Bernoska, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter
