Hey Jimmy

We served together in the National Guard, 116th Engr.Bn. Company B from Rexburg,Id. before you left us to enlist in the regular army. You were an officer cadet and I remember you always looked sharp in uniform. Our Battalion was activated 3 years after your death and we also served in Vietnam (68-69) Thank you Jimmy for your service, Rest In Peace

We will remember you

As part of a high school class that focuses solely on the Vietnam War, we want to thank PFC Nakayama for his ultimate sacrifice for his country. We recently just finished the film “We Were Soldiers”, and we felt it necessary to post our remembrance for the life he gave up for his country. Dear Jimmy

I never knew of your story until I saw "We Were Soldiers". Your tragic ending broke my heart very badly. I will remember you and your fellow veterans and the good you have done for us all forever more. I hope you are happy wherever you are in this universe, and I wish the very best for your wife and child.

thank you

Words can never express the sacrifice you made. I spoke to Joe Galloway and asked him what happen to you after he loaded you in the helicopter? He said you had passed away from your burns. He also mentioned that you never saw your daughter. You made the ultimate sacrifice for your country. May you rest in peace and I hope to see you someday and tell you Thank you Jimmy.
