Thank You

Dear Sp4 Jay McMurphy, Thank you for your service as an Airborne Qualified Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Today is Labor Day. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

A Forgotten Fallen Friend

Darrell was a classmate in grade school. He moved away before Jr. High, and I did not know for 45 years that he had perished in Vietnam. I have a few memories of him from those days in a small mountain town in California. Today, 50 years and 3 days since that fateful day, I have learned of your service in that war. I salute you my forgotten fallen friend. You are forgotten to me no longer.

Remember

It has been 48 years since you left our world while fighting in Vietnam and your friends and family miss you very much. What a shame to loose a fine man like you Darrell but we grieve your loss and respect you for your service to our country the United States of America. I hope you are at peace my friend and know you are always in our hearts. I will be visiting Droast in Hawaii next year and we will hold up a glass to you.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SP4 Jay Darrell McMurphy, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter
